UNITED PAKISTAN MEDICAL COUNCIL

We at the UNITED PAKISTAN have estabilished a +MEDICAL COUNCIL+

The UPMC will aim to improve health, provide primary medical care in the Interior Sindh area where our relief camps have already provided shelter  food to them, in Sukkur, Ghariyasin and Shikarpur. We are also collecting data and creating a data base for these people - where you (donors) can access their progress and help us provided them with facilities previously unknown to them

*Need doctors, nurses and medical supply donations.*

OBJECTIVE: -

1.      REGISTRATION OF FAMILIES AND POTENTIAL PATIENTS
2.      BASIC COMMUNAL LIVING AND EDUCATION
3.      IMPROVE COMMUNAL HYGIENE AND SANITATION
4.      IMPROVE BASIC AND PERSONAL HYGIENE
5.      IMPROVE THEIR NUTRIETION (INDIGENIOUSLY AS POSSIBLE)
6.      GETTING THEM REGISTERED WITH GOVERNMENT RUN HOSPITALS FOR FURTHER AND FUTURE TREATMENTS
7.      SCREEN THEM FOR HCV, HBV, HIV, TB, OTHER COMMUNICABLE DISEASES
8.      ISOLATION OF PATIENTS WITH CONTAGIOUS COMMUNICABLE DISEASES
9.      VACCINATIONS TO PREVENT EPIDEMICS
10.  PROMOTE BIRTH CONTROL
11.  PROVIDE MATERNAL CHILD HEALTH
12.  PROVIDE PRIMARY HEALTH CARE 

Medicines for infections (Oral - only): -

  1. Augmentin (syrup and tablets 675mg)

  2. Flagyl (syrup and tablets)

  3. Ciprofloxacin (tablets 500mg)

  4. Levofloxicin (tablet 500mg)

  5. Septran DS (tablets and syrup)

  6. Zinacef (tablet and syrup)

  7. Gentacin eye drops.

  8. Amoxil (syrup and tablets)

  9. De-worming medicine (called Wormox)

  10. Anti-malarial (Artem) (Resochin)

Painkillers + Anti- pyretics (Oral and Injectable):-


  1. Acetaminophen (Panadol/ Tylenol) (syrups + tablets)
  2. Brufen (syrup and tablets)
  3. Disprin (300mg tablets)
  4. Diclofenic Sodium (Voren., Dicloran) injections (3cc)
  5. NAPA suppositories (125mg, 250mg, 500mg)

Multivitamins (Oral and Injectable):-

  1. Iron supplements – Ferrous Sulphate
  2. Folic Acid
  3. Vitamin B-complex – oral and injectable
  4. Vitamin D – oral and injectable
  5. Vitamin C oral – chewable tablets or effervescent tablets/sachets
  6. Calcium supplements (CaC1000 Plus)
Skin medications and Minor Dressing Materials: -
  1. Medicated soaps and shampoos
  2. Anti-lice shampoo
  3. Anti-dandruff shampoo
  4. Nerisone /Adventin.
  5. Scabion (Scabies lotion)
  6. Lice comb
  7. Normal hair comb
  8. Hair oil (pure kurwa oil)
  9. Calamine lotion
  10. Polyfax skin ointments
  11. Polyfax eye ointments
  12. Normal Saline ampoules (25 cc) to wash out eyes)
  13. Normal Saline bottles (500cc) to wash wounds
  14. Sterile Gauze
  15. Cicatrin powder
  16. Hydrogen peroxide
  17. Pyodine Solution
  18. Zinc oxide paste.
  19. Sticking tape.
  20. Cotton rolls
  21. Tincture Benzoate
  22. Crepe bandages (6 inches and 4 inches)
  23. Plaster of Paris (Gypsum) (4 inches & 6 inches)

  7. TONGUE DEPRESSORS
  8. fundoscope
  9. TORCHES
  10. Disposable latex gloves
  11. Face masks
  12. 3cc and 5cc disposable syringes
  13. alcohol swabs - sprite
  14. Plastic buckets with fitted lids to dispose of syringes/sharp objects.
  15. ICE COOLERS (1 INJECTABLE MEDICATION + 1 FOR WATER FOR THE WORKERS)
  16. SOAP AND SHAMPOO
  17. WATER PURIFYING TABLETS
VACCINATIONS FOR THE VOLUNTEERS GOING TO THE CAMPS

  1. TYPHOID
  2. CHOLERA
  3. TETANUS
  4. HEPATITIS B
  5. Prophylaxis for Malaria.

Nazihe, i like this effort. This is probably one of the most important things people require at this time. PS I am sure you can source the med items better than me. So i will send you the Money if its ok with you.

Sahar. raise the funds - we are running out of them - as Imran said the other day donor fatigue has started

Adnan - yeah sure, cash is fine - thu if you know people who can help out with other things too will be great - like the BUS - i dont want to waste money on renting them
